Negative press

GOOD MAIL, FOR ONCE.

a monthly photographic correspondence built around handwritten notes and printed images. each month becomes its own numbered issue, delivered both by email and through the mail. the physical edition is the heart and may include (not limited to): photographic prints, letters from the road or thoughts, found objects, playlists, and other knick-knacks. some months may turn into a small zine. others may include work from friends and artists i admire. there will be no rigid formula and that is very much the point.

it will be tactile, imperfect, personal and a little rough around the edges. this project is a reaction to how disposable photography has become online. most images are scrolled past in seconds while doom scrolling, buried between ads, memes, and whatever else the algorithm decides to throw at us. this will hopefully be an excuse to slow down, make something physical and give intention.

keep the print; pin it to a wall, gift it. throw the letter in a drawer. play the playlist on a late night drive. share discoveries with strangers. and most importantly, feel free to write back! let's share fleeting moments.

negative press is an ongoing project of photographs, places, music, people, and small pieces of life, sent out one issue at a time.
